Effective Working Relationships

OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  1. Assess the four different character styles within staff in order to get the best from them.
  2. Use effective rapport building techniques.
  3. Use the three different language styles available to increase communication.
  4. State the importance of good interpersonal skills in all situations.

  • Personal strengths and weaknesses.
  • How to get the best from people.
  • I'm OK you're OK model.
  • Listening and questioning skills.
  • Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming.
    • Verbal vs non verbal behaviour.
    • Language styles.
    • Eye accessing cues.

METHODOLOGY

Practical exercises and participation feature strongly in this programme. Theory and tutor led discussion is also included.

DURATION

1 day

NB: The techniques from this programme can be used in a range of situations from interviewing, negotiation and sales to cross cultural communication.
